San Antonio Community Hospital features the latest in specialized neonatal care in our 20-bed, Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where premature and other at-risk infants can receive all the individual attention and life-enhancing medical support they need.

Our neonatologists are experts in treating the full spectrum of newborn illnesses and conditions, and work in a team-centered care environment.

The NICU care team is comprised of neonatologists, as well as specially trained NICU nurses, neonatal respiratory therapists, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, and clinical dietitians.
