Established in 1924, our volunteer program is an important part of the Hospital's heritage. They work in a variety of ways to achieve their mission, which is "to render service to the Hospital and its patients, and assist the Hospital in promoting the health and welfare of the community."

Currently, 300 active volunteers working in 18 areas of the Hospital have donated more than 500,000 hours of their time. Our volunteers have raised over $1 million for the Hospital.

Volunteers work in most of the areas in the Hospital. Examples of potential volunteer opportunities include:

  • Main lobby reception
  • Gift shop sales

  • Maternity patient and nursing staff assistance

  • Support for surgical patients and their families

  • Emergency Department reception and nursing staff support

  • Hospital and maternity unit tours

  • Blood drive and donor center support

  • Assistance at special events

Our volunteer office is located across from the main Hospital in Suite E-1 of Building 1148. You may contact a representative weekdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., by calling (909) 920-6266.
