Giving in Memory or Honor
You can memorialize a loved one by making a gift to the Foundation in their name. In this same way, you may honor a special individual who has made a difference in your life.

Do you know an employee who went out of their way to make your hospital stay as comfortable as possible? If you want to recognize their outstanding service, you might consider making a donation to the Jack Berens Employee Appreciation Fund in their honor. This fund and its purpose are described below.

Jack Berens Employee Appreciation Fund
When Jack Berens, our Senior Vice President for Operations, retired in June 2001 after more than 41 years of service, the Hospital wanted to create a special, permanent recognition to honor his legacy. As a result, the Hospital's Board of Trustees authorized the establishment of the Jack Berens Employee Appreciation Fund to recognize Jack and all of our employees. This money has been invested to create an endowment, so that the proceeds can be used to purchase capital equipment for the Hospital. We hope that those who are grateful for their care at the hospital, or who want to recognize a particular employee, will contribute to the fund.
