B. Don Ahn, M.D. - Past President of the Medical Staff

B. Don Ahn, M.D. is an ex officio member of the Board of Trustees, and completes his term on the Board in December 2008. He is a cardiologist with a private practice in Upland and Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He has been a member of the San Antonio Community Hospital Medical Staff since 1985.

Donald M. Alpiner, D.O. - Trustee

Donald Alpiner, D.O. has been a Trustee since January 2007. He was President of the Medical Staff in 2000, and served as an ex officio Board member from 1999 through 2001. Dr. Alpiner is a family practitioner with an office in Upland. He has been a member of the Medical Staff since 1984.

Richard G. Anderson - Chairman

Richard Anderson has been a Trustee since January 2000. He was elected Chairman of the Board in 2005. He previously served as a Trustee from 1990 through 1998. Mr. Anderson is an attorney in private practice in Upland. He was Mayor of the City of Upland from 1984 to 1988. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club, the West End YMCA, and Kiwanis Club of Upland. Mr. Anderson is a participating member of several Trial Lawyers Associations and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Dora Barilla - Trustee

Dora Barilla has been a Trustee since January 2008. Currently she serves as a faculty member at Loma Linda University School of Public Health and as the Executive Director for the Office of Health Policy and Leadership. She is also the Executive Director for a not-for-profit organization, Partners for Better Health, promoting health initiatives in local communities. Ms. Barilla has implemented innovative alternatives to traditional healthcare by using a collaborative and community-based approach. Ms. Barilla’s involvement in community health organizations and initiatives includes the San Bernardino County Children's Health Initiative, Bilingual Family Counseling Services, Healthy Ontario, and the Central City Lutheran Mission H Street Clinic.

David Berry, M.D. - Trustee

David Berry, M.D. has been a Trustee since January 2000. He was President of the Medical Staff in 1988, and served as a trustee from 1987 through 1989. He is a member of the Board of Cucamonga Health Services, Inc. Dr. Berry is a Board Certified Radiologist, and a member of the San Antonio Community Hospital Medical Staff. He is a member of the San Antonio Radiological Medical Group, Inc.

Mark Bertone - Trustee

Mark Bertone began his term as a Board member in January 2008. He is President of Madole & Associates, Inc., a local civil engineering and land surveying company. He previously served on the Board of Directors of San Antonio Hospital Foundation. Mr. Bertone sits on the Board of Managers for the Scheu Family YMCA and is on the Board of Directors for the Inland Empire Open/Mark Christopher Charity Classic.

Victor Ching, M.D. - President-Elect of the Medical Staff

Victor Ching, M.D. is an ex officio member of the Board of Trustees and serves a three-year term that expires in December 2010. Dr. Ching is a Urologist in private practice in Upland. He has been a member of the San Antonio Community Hospital Medical Staff since 1982.

Richard Gilbert - Trustee

Richard Gilbert has been a Trustee since January 2005. He is Vice President of Business Development for BFI Business Finance and has over 30 years of experience in financial business development, specializing in asset-based lending.

J. Michael Gunn - Trustee

The Honorable J. Michael Gunn has been a Trustee since January 2002. He is a Superior Court Judge in the County of San Bernardino, and was previously an attorney in private practice.

Naveen Gupta, M.D. - President of the Medical Staff

Naveen Gupta, M.D., an oncologist, has been practicing medicine for eighteen years. Dr. Gupta has served as a Board Member for the Inland Hospice Association and sat on the Board of the Garden Arbor View School in Upland. He currently belongs to the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the California Medical Association and the San Bernardino County Medical Society.

E.F. "Rick" Hamilton - Trustee

Rick Hamilton has been a Trustee since January 2005. He owns Sun Badge Company and previously worked as a Division Vice President with Bell and Howell.

Thomas R. McGilloway

Thomas R. McGilloway has been a Trustee since January 2003. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board from January 2005 to January 2008. He is employed by Avery Dennison. Mr. McGilloway has served as a Planning Commissioner with the City of Upland, City Council Member, and Mayor Pro Tem. He is currently a Director with the Upland Housing Authority.

James R. Milhiser - Vice Chairman of the Board

James R. Milhiser has served on the Board of Trustees since 2004, and was elected Treasurer in 2005. He is Senior Vice President and Major Loan Manager for PFF Bank & Trust.

Steven C. Moreau - President & CEO

Steven C. Moreau is an ex officio member of the Board of Trustees. He joined the hospital as President and Chief Executive Officer in March of 2005. Mr. Moreau is an experienced healthcare leader whose career included 14 years at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach where he was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He is active in numerous community and professional organizations.

Al Ronco - Trustee

Al Ronco has served as a Board member since 2004. He is a retired executive of Keystone Automotive Industries. In addition to serving on the Board at Keystone, Mr. Ronco also serves on the Board at Whittemore Enterprises and has been an active member of the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association and the Auto Body Parts Association.
